Stages Of Germination Of A Seedling

u10: split-screen with ffmpeg

I love my u10 .
Today I Was Trying to split the video of Mashapa's event in Bicocca (1hr +, for 1.2GB).
I did to try and open with kino movie editor. In Particular kino, When opening this file, tried to export it in DV format: I Killed When It HAD IT done the 30% of the conversion with a .dv file of more than 3GB..

So i was wandering how i could split this huge file. The answer? My beloved ffmpeg.
So:

shatsar@erakis:/tmp/video$ ffmpeg -i sdv_0032.mp4
[..]
Duration: 01:02:48.09, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 2909 kb/s
Stream #0.0(eng): Video: h264, yuv420p, 720x480 [PAR 32:27 DAR 16:9], 2766 kb/s, 119.84 fps, 59.94 tbr, 90k tbn, 119.88 tbc
Stream #0.1(eng): Audio: aac, 48000 Hz, stereo, s16, 128 kb/s

bitrate 2766 kb/s, fps 119, audio 128kb/s ..impressive (we did this video at the lowest quality of u10)

For example: to take out a video (with a lower bitrate and fps) of 6m and 14m from 15s and 39s starting from the original video i did:

Shats erakis @: / tmp / video $ ffmpeg-i sdv_0032 . mp4-ss "00:14:39"-t "00:06:15"-B 1800K-r 50 video1.mp4
Shats erakis @: / tmp / video $ ls-alh video1.mp4
-rw-r - r - 1 Shats Shats 84M 01/29/2010 17:16 video1.mp4

not bad ..
