closes the series "before leaving" with this post (well overdue, since I started almost a week ..)

Having your subscription Vodafone's business, I had fixed costs: the government concession tax: € 12.9 per month plus € 10 per month for phone and comprehensive insurance. Expecting to be away for several months this year, I decided to change this .. then I went from a subscription business rechargeable normal.

I went to the Vodafone One points with a + next: identity card, tax code and VAT notice of award (must be issued for less than 6 months, but it's OK to self-certification).
I immediately gave the new SIM, sent a fax to vodafone and within two days the old SIM card did not make me more call for which I replaced. Having

the contract for more than two years, the phone is left to me without any penalty. On
190.it I had to redo the procedure activation, but other than that there was no contraindication for the subscription rate rechargeable

Since I did not take other measures to cut fixed costs in Italy while they are abroad declare, for now, concluded the series of post "Before you go" ..

u10: split-screen with ffmpeg

I love my u10 .
Today I Was Trying to split the video of Mashapa's event in Bicocca (1hr +, for 1.2GB).
I did to try and open with kino movie editor. In Particular kino, When opening this file, tried to export it in DV format: I Killed When It HAD IT done the 30% of the conversion with a .dv file of more than 3GB..

So i was wandering how i could split this huge file. The answer? My beloved ffmpeg.

These days I made a couple of rounds in the bank / post office to check some parameters: the monthly cost cap, the cost of charges for payments in foreign currency on the advance and the cost of money (the cash withdrawal) in foreign currency.

The good news is that you can suspend .

Since that time the insurance is suspended for a minimum period of three months.

Then, once back in Italy just re going to insurance (withdrawing the slip and the green card) and receive this treatment: the payment will be made slip of the suspension period (if this reaches at least 90 days).

For example: If I pay the insurance each year in early August to suspend for a period of three months, pay its renewal in early November.

The operation is free.

PS: For those interested, the minimum period of suspension of insurance instead of the bike is 60 days.
